Vacha Trust

Vacha's College Scholarship Programme, started in 2017 was designed and established keeping in mind the number of dropouts after class 10 due to a host of obstacles faced by girls like devaluing education of the girl child, restricted mobility of girls by their families, and financial constrain in family. A college scholarship will provide stipends to girls enrolled with Vacha in continuing their higher education and to continue attending Vacha's after school programmes in their own neighbourhoods. The scholarship money will be used by the beneficiary to pay college fees, for travel, text books, digests, stationery items, sanitary pads (to reduce absenteeism during the days of menstruation and also at times for hiding their menstruation from family to escape the restrictions they face in mobility in their own family). Your donations will help us to sponsor scholarship for 111 girls who have applied this year (2024-2025). Scholarship amount for one girl student for 1 year is Rs. 10000. You can support this initiative fully, or in part.
