Vacha Trust

Vacha's School Scholarship Programme, started in 2012 was designed and established keeping in mind the number of dropouts after class 7 due to a host of obstacles faced by students like devaluing education of the girl child, restricted mobility of girls by their families, lack of municipal schools in their vicinity and so on. A scholarship will provide incentive to girls enrolled with Vacha in continuing their education and to continue attending Vacha's Girls' Empowerment Programmes in their own neighbourhoods. The scholarship money will be used by the beneficiary to pay school fees (private schools in bastis), for travel, text books, digests, stationery items, sanitary pads (to reduce absenteeism during the days of menstruation and also at times for hiding their menstruation from family to escape the restrictions they face in mobility in their own family). Your donations will help us to sponsor scholarship for 244 girls who have applied this year (2024 2025). Scholarship amount for one girl student for 1 year is Rs. 5000. You can support this initiative fully, or in part.
